BV500S-D Ducted Extraction Unit
Part No. BV500S-D
The BenchVent BV500S-D is a small benchtop LEV unit that contains and filters for a cleaner, healthier working environment within dental labs, electronic design and rework, pharmaceutical labs, design and technology, science in education and more.
The particulate (intake) filter is a three stage graduated fibre filter with a high ‘dust’ holding capacity for long life. Filtration to 5 micron particles
- Filter unit with fan and 2 mtrs flexi-duct
- PETG Clear Spray Shield
- 1 x Particulate filter
- Power Lead (240v 50Hz)
These cabinets are designed for studio / classroom / workshop cleanliness and for immediate operator protection whereby ‘large’ particulates (> 5 microns) are filtered out and ‘fine’ particulates (<5 microns) together with odours, gases, vapours and fumes within the hood enclosure are exhausted to atmosphere via the 2m flexi-duct.
They are not recommended for continual usage, i.e. production applications, particularly in confined and/or badly ventilated areas.
Product Details
The BenchVent BV500S-D is designed for use in laboratories where the operators need to see the objects they’re working on when carrying their work. It’s specifically designed to filter fumes, vapour and light particulates coming from:
- Monomers
- Adhesives
- Conformal coatings
- Resins
- Sealants
- Solder fumes
- Hazardous powders
- Light grinding particles
- General solvent vapours
It will also filter light grinding particles, dusts and organic solvents.
The weighing and handling of potentially harmful chemicals, applying adhesives, cleaning solvents, and using small grinding tools etc is carried out within the shield and fumes and particles are vented into the outside environment. The BV500S-D has an open front which is handy when users need to move items within the booth, like re-positioning weigh scales and the likes. The poly-carbonate shield is removable for easy storage.
This unit is designed for immediate operator protection from concentrations of airborne contaminants whereby all gases, fumes, vapours and particulates within the hood enclosure are filtered and cleaned air is exhausted to the right rear of the cabinet. This model has been designed to be quiet in operation and can be assembled in seconds. Place onto a desk, bench or trolley and then simply plug in and switch on.
Filtration Method
The particulate (intake) filter is a three stage graduated fibre filter with a high ‘dust’ holding capacity for long life. Filtration to 5 micron particles.
NB: Spray particulate sizes vary from 10 to 20 microns. The dual process of filtration and then extraction to atmosphere via flexi-duct, vastly reduces and/or eliminates operator exposure to potentially hazardous substances.
