The 600D Double-Sided Hot Wire Strip Heater is the first in the range of Double-Sided wire strip heaters, with a working length of 600mm. The 600D is perfect for both a workshop and educational environment.
These units have two wires mounted in a channel at the rear of the work table, with a further two mounted in the hinged upper channel allowing the user to heat plastic sheets of up to 10mm in thickness.
Product Details
The 600D Double-Sided Hot Wire Strip Heater allows a sheet of thermoplastic material (e.g. acrylic, ABS, polycarbonate) to be heated in a strip along its length. The width of the heated area is normally around twice the thickness of the material. Due to the characteristics of the material, it becomes flexible when heated, allowing it to be bent to the required shape. Once cooled, the bent material retains the formed shape.
